Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. has been providing residential mental health programs at its Eureka campus since 1979. The Crestwood Eureka campus is home to a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) and an adult residential facility/social rehabilitation program, called the Pathways.
The focus of our programs centers on recognizing the unique gifts, interests and challenges of each person we serve, and supporting creativity, wellness and empowerment throughout their recovery journey. The campus location, in the heart of California’s Redwood country, allows clients to tap into the mental health benefits that the surrounding beautiful and peaceful natural environment offers.
Special Features
All of Crestwood Eureka’s programs utilize a variety of recovery-based tools, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), and foster recreational activities to help clients to reach their personal goals. We also have resources for clients to reach their personal dual recovery and spiritual goals.
Our campus serves as a training site for students pursuing various careers in the mental health field. Nursing (RN) students from the College of the Redwoods have access to Crestwood for their psych rotation, and we offer internship opportunities to Humboldt State University psychology and social work students
Our campus also has very active and empowering pre-vocational programs, with Dreamcatchers Empowerment Network and Industrial Therapy. Clients can work in various positions at the facility, learn skills to prepare them for future employment, and gain a sense of pride contributing to their shared community.

Adult Residential ProgramsThe Pathways program is an Adult Residential Facility and a Medi-Cal certified Social Rehabilitation program. The Social Rehab program is overseen by a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), and along with our Service Coordinators, provide a structured and engaging group schedule to teach and encourage recovery-based and independent living skills building. Our primary goal is to assist our clients in finding solutions to the barriers preventing them from living successfully in the community and attaining their personal life goals. Through the recovery process, we teach and encourage relationships with self, peers, the community, service providers, and family or chosen supports. It is through these various relationships that our clients find hope, strength, inspiration, mentors, allies and a sense of belonging.

Mental Health Rehabilitation CenterWe offer the services of a mental health rehabilitation center (MHRC) in a very beautiful, warm, and homelike facility. This program is designed to give staff the opportunity to work very closely with clients to set and achieve recovery goals. We use a variety of approaches to empower our clients, including earned passes into the community and varied group topics to teach and enhance recovery skills. Our recreation program also encourages empowerment through a range of recreation activities and outings. Our goal is to support the client in transitioning to a lower-level of care or returning to the community with solid tools for their success.
