Recovery and Wellness Starts Here

Our vision at Crestwood is to create a continuum of services that empowers our clients to live and succeed in their communities in ways that maximize their full potential. At Crestwood, we believe that recovery is a supportive process where a person is encouraged to make the most of their life and achieve a sense of balance and fulfillment.  It is a deeply personal and self-directed process built on hope, empowerment, meaningful roles and spirituality. We offer our clients the services below so we can provide them with the best tools possible to help them achieve their recovery goals.

mind, body and spirit wellness

We believe an essential part of our clients’ wellness and recovery is to provide services that address the Mind, Body and Spirit. Our goal is to provide the healthiest and most satisfying food to the people we serve.

Wellness Recovery Action Plan

WRAP is an Evidence-Based treatment tool that Crestwood has been using for more than ten years. It is a personalized wellness and recovery approach that helps people to decrease and prevent intrusive or troubling feelings and behaviors; increase personal empowerment; improve quality of life; and achieve their own life goals and dreams. Working with a WRAP can help individuals to monitor uncomfortable and distressing feelings and behaviors and, through planned responses, reduce, modify, or eliminate those feelings.

Crestwood is recognized as a leader in peer-provided services, including our corporate leadership team. We actively recruit, hire and train people with lived experience. This is a Best Practice for reduction and elimination of coercive treatment, as well as a Promising Practice in recovery-based services. In 2014 Crestwood was identified as a national leader in peer employment presenting a SAMHSA national webinar on Mutuality and Collaboration.

Crestwood is proud to announce that our own Mertice “Gitane” Williams is now a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and an International Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (ICPRS) by the California Consortium of Addictions Programs and Professionals (CCAPP).

Homelike Environments

Crestwood creates and recreates the spaces in our programs to be a homelike therapeutic environment. We initiated a Quality Improvement process and started with research by visiting programs throughout California and other states and researching best practices. As a result of our research, we discovered colors that were conducive to our clients’ recovery and have tried to keep these consistent in all of our programs.
